marks both the fiftieth year of Israel’s occupation of the Palestinian territory and the tenth year of the closure of Gaza. Closure depicts the harm done to the civilian population in Gaza throughout this period and the failure of the international community to rectify the situation by applying the most basic rules of international law or by challenging the prevailing impunity.
